A temporary landscape takes the same care as a permanent one
Six steps, one team

Understand
We begin by understanding the venue, the occasion and how guests will experience the space. We consider the setting, movement and access, alongside the practical requirements of the site.
Where possible, we invite clients to explore our Hampshire display garden.

Conceive
We establish the character, scale and atmosphere of the landscape, developing an initial concept that complements the wider event design.
Working alongside planners and creative partners, we bring the different elements together into a cohesive vision.

Design & Compose
The concept becomes a detailed landscape design, bringing together mature trees, structural and layered planting, pathways, lighting and carefully selected finishing elements.
Our nursery collection informs every composition, with planting combinations and key details developed and refined ahead of installation.

Create
Our specialist teams bring the landscape to life on site, carefully coordinating deliveries, installation and ground protection with the wider event schedule.
Every element is positioned and finished to create a complete, established garden environment.

Care
We remain responsible for the landscape throughout the event, ensuring the planting is watered, maintained and presented at its best.
Our level of on-site support is tailored to the scale and duration of each commission.

Return
Once the occasion is over, we carefully dismantle the landscape and restore the site.
Plants return to our Hampshire nursery for inspection, care and preparation for future landscapes.
Considered in advance. Controlled on site.
A smooth installation begins long before we arrive. Pots, planting and materials are prepared at our nursery through a methodical process, with checks and handling requirements considered before dispatch.
Delivery, positioning and finishing are planned around the venue’s access and event programme. The same discipline guides the breakdown, with a clear sequence for dismantling, removing materials and leaving the space as agreed.
An established garden, created for a moment in time.

The Setting
The intention was to create a seamless connection between the house, garden and marquee, allowing the landscape to become an integral part of the celebration.
Celebrating the character of the estate, the design introduced new layers of texture, seasonal colour and natural beauty. Framed views, inviting pathways and generous planting would create a sense of discovery, while respecting the existing garden and leaving its grounds undisturbed.

The Design Vision
The design drew inspiration from the estate's established trees, historic stone walls and natural surroundings.
Generously planted areas were conceived to soften the marquee and create a graceful journey through the courtyard. Mature trees and sculptural shrubs provided structure, while ornamental grasses and flowering perennials introduced movement and seasonal interest.
The arrangement of pathways and planting created a natural progression through the space, gradually revealing the marquee beyond.

A Considered Approach
Every detail was carefully considered, from the balance of planting and the character of natural materials to the way guests would experience the space.
Working with the wider creative vision for the occasion, each element was brought together to create a landscape that felteffortless, harmonious and entirely at home within its surroundings.

A Garden for the Senses
A delicate palette of soft whites, lavender and muted purples brought a sense of romance and tranquillity to the garden. Flowering perennials mingled with airy grasses and sculptural foliage, creating layers of texture and movement.
Fragrant lavender, rosemary, mint and aromatic herbs added another sensory dimension, releasing their scents as guests wandered through the garden. Natural gravel and woven willow introduced warmth and texture, completing the impression of a garden established over many seasons.

Bringing the Landscape to Life
At our Hampshire nursery, mature trees, structural shrubs and seasonal planting were carefully selected and prepared ahead of installation.
Arriving in individual containers, the plants were arranged into generous, layered compositions, creating the natural rhythm and abundance of a mature garden.
Discreet finishes concealed the containers, giving the appearance of continuous planted borders. This considered approach allowed a landscape of remarkable scale and maturity to take shape efficiently, while protecting the existing grounds.

The Experience
The landscape transformed the approach to the marquee into an experience in its own right. Mature trees framed the setting, abundant planting softened the architecture and winding pathways invited guests to explore.
As daylight faded, the garden's delicate colours and textures gave way to the warm glow of the marquee, creating an intimate and atmospheric setting for the celebration.
A Lasting Impression
As the celebration drew to a close, the landscape was carefully dismantled, leaving the original garden just as it had been found, without a trace of its temporary transformation. The plants returned to our Hampshire nursery to be nurtured and prepared for future occasions.
A fleeting garden, with a lasting impression.
